DIGITAL ANALOGS™ 4.0 Release Dinner - Houston
April 2004 - Houston, Texas
C&C Reservoirs celebrated
its 10th year and the launch of the new
DIGITAL ANALOGS™ 4.0 system with clients
and users of the system in Houston, Texas
on April 14th 2004.
The release dinner provided an excellent global meeting point for major
oil and gas companies to view the latest version of the system and also
to meet the faces behind C&C Reservoirs
The launch of the latest version of the
DIGITAL ANALOGS™ system
was particularly significant as C&C was
also celebrating its 10th year. Dr S. Qing
Sun, Managing Director and Founder of C&C
Reservoirs, provided insights into
the development of C&C and showed
how C&C has achieved significant
growth in terms of technology, world-wide
field and reservoir analog coverage and
customer base. During the past 10 years, C&C has
continually strived to use technology to
make the search for analogs easier and
faster. They have moved from hardcopy reports
to search engine capability and now to
GIS and a menu-driven query engine; providing
a simple platform for geoscientists and
engineers to find analogs and gain E&P
knowledge more effectively.
Along with a planned update of >100
reports and 40-50 new reports per year, C&C intends
to expand its range of studies, the next
two being "Unconventional Reservoirs" and "Understanding
Seals". The latest version, Digital AnalogsTM
4.0, contains updates of 54 Field Evaluation
Reports and adds 16 new Field Evaluation
Reports.
C&C Reservoirs was pleased
to see so many friends and users of the
system at the launch party; we hope to
see you all again in our 20th year! Thanks
to all those who attended the release dinner
and we hope that the event proved to be
an enjoyable occasion for everyone.
