Appointment
of Dr Shengyu Wu as Director of
Geoscience and Head of Operations
for the Americas

C&C Reservoirs is pleased
to announce that Dr Shengyu Wu was
appointed as its Director of Geoscience
and head of its Americas office in
Houston. Dr Wu received his Master
and Ph.D. in Geology and Geophysics
during 1987-1993 from Rice University
and has over 20 years experience
within the E&P business. He spent
11 years working for the Geophysical
Research Institute of BGP International
of CNPC during 1976-1987, where
he served in many capacities including
supervisor for data processing computing
facilities, geophysical data analyst,
seismic data processing supervisor.
After completing his research studies
at Rice University, Dr. Wu joined TOTAL's
Houston subsidiary as a Senior Geophysicist.
He worked in exploration and development
projects onshore/offshore Louisiana
and as team leader for Gulf of Mexico
sub-salt exploration until early
1996 when he joined Anschutz Exploration.
He played key roles in the exploration
programs in south and central Gulf
Coast Wilcox, Permian Basin carbonate,
Williston Basin and East Texas Basin
reef plays. Dr. Wu re-joined TOTAL's
Houston subsidiary TOTAL Exploration
and Production USA in 1997 as Frontier
Exploration Manager for deepwater
Gulf of Mexico exploration program
and became Vice President of Exploration
in 1998. He led the deepwater team
to evaluate the ultra-deep water
prospects in Gulf of Mexico and recommended
the successful acquisition of Chinook,
Cascade and Klondike prospects. He
joined C&C Reservoirs in
2003.
