C&C Reservoirs showed the latest release of its DIGITAL ANALOGS™ Knowledge
System at the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition held
in Denver, Colorado, October 5-8, 2003. Highlights of version 3.1, due
to be released in the 4th quarter, include enhanced GIS capabilities,
Excel export and sub-queries on histograms, among many other features.
Also featured at the show were the new E&P TREATISE™ products-"Exploration for Stratigraphic/Subtle Trap" and "Deepwater
Exploration and Development"-which attracted many current and potential
customers of E&P and service companies from the U.S., Canada, Great
Britain, China, India, Abu Dhabi, Oman and Argentina. During the conference, Drs.
J. Allan and S. Q. Sun participated in a poster session on "Controls
on recovery factor in fractured reservoirs: Lessons learned from 100
fractured fields " (SPE 84590), which was well attended by the
audience. Drs. S. Q. Sun and R. Sloan presented a paper
titled "Quantification of Uncertainty in Recovery Efficiency Predictions:
Lessons Learned from 250 Mature Carbonate Fields" (SPE 84459) during
the SPE session on Characterization and Simulation of Naturally
Fractured Reservoirs.
